Casting is now open
We invite you audition for Strange Animals! There’s no prerequisite for experience—we’re welcoming anyone to audition, whether you have an extensive acting career or have never acted a day in your life.
The focus is authenticity and an understanding of the characters.
With our culture of respect, we strive to be completely transparent about the process. Moreover, we want to emphasize that participation in Strange Animals is purely voluntary, meaning there is no expectation of monetary compensation.
If you are part of a union, we ask that you ensure you’re able to participate in this non-union project without it being a professional risk to you.
Following casting, in-person recording will be conducted in south central Pennsylvania, with recording also available in southeast Alabama upon request. For those outside these regions, recording can be completed remotely. If additional accommodations are needed, we’ll work with selected actors to determine the best recording solution.
There are three ways to get started:

2. I AM Unsure Which Character I want to Audition For and I have an acting reel.
If you are unsure which character you want to audition for, go ahead and email us using the email below. Please include:
Your full name
Where you are based
Any reels or material you believe may help us evaluate your performance (required for this option)
We will review your material and recommend a character we think you should audition for. If you’re happy with our recommendation, we’ll get the audition process started!
3. I AM Unsure Which Character I want to Audition For and I do not have an acting reel.
If you don’t have a character in mind and you don’t have any acting reels, go ahead and email us using the email below. Please include:

Where you are based
We will send you a generic audition side with some instruction. You’ll send us your recording, we’ll review it and recommend a character we think you should audition for. If you’re happy with our recommendation, we’ll get the audition process started!
Note: For all auditions, we will require your signature on an audition release and an NDA. The audition release is so we can legally review any reels/performances you send us. The NDA is to secure screenplay elements. Both documents are designed to protect both you, the actor, and us. If you have any questions regarding these documents, reach out to us and we’ll happily discuss anything that’s hanging you up!
